Floor Sun
A checkerboard floor
that had to pull
up the flared slacks
walks backwards
toward the washing machine
kicking the tennis ball which
was the sun eating a cloud
face first
Floating Shadows
Tater tots
of tucked in shirts,
clouds of ham staring
in the windows
outlining the people
passed by all those
bulbous floats
Muscle Caverns
Reaching into caverns of
books with rounded edges
I touched a hand
full of pebbles
the feeling of those husks
stretching muscles
and joints
that didn’t pop
Light Lips
Grating chunks
of open lips
a smoldering door
of open hearts
opening the hole of light
adjusting necklaces
that sparkle in the closet
